Learning and Performance Objectives

This live activity is designed for endocrinologists, internists, primary care and family practice physicians, pharmacists, certified diabetic educators, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and any associates who participate in the care of diabetic patients.

This course is designed to improve the care of patients with diabetes and metabolic disorders by improving knowledge of current basic, translational and outcomes research among practitioners. In addition the course will improve the competence and performance of providers who care for diabetes patients by very practical instruction in current technology and techniques. The intended result of this activity is to increase knowledge in current therapies that have been proven to provide better outcomes for patients with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. This course is designed to improve the competence of prescribers and those providing teaching and other forms of care to patients with diabetes. At the conclusion of this seminar, attendees will be able to:
